Health Ministry

Mission Statement - To promote and educate God’s plan to restore us to whole health.

Overview - It was once said by Benjamin Franklin, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of

cure.” Health-related medical conditions can be easier to prevent, and in some cases, reversed

with lifestyle change. Temperance affects all areas of one’s lifestyle – getting the right amount

of fresh air, sunshine, rest, exercise, good nutrition, water, and trust in divine power. It is up to

us to make healthy choices. “Every human being, created in the image of God, is endowed with a

power akin to that of the Creator—individuality, power to think and to do.”

—Ellen White, Education, page 17

We need to be mindful of the areas in life that affect our well-being. Disease, illness, and

hardships can affect our physical, emotional, intellectual, social, environmental, and spiritual

well-being. This Ministry will focus on providing information that is Christ centered, and will

incorporate the 8 Laws of Health* to help guide individuals and families to whole health. The

following are some of the programs this ministry will provide:

  • Diabetes Program – This 8 session educational program can help you reverse type II diabetes, reduce or eliminate medication and insulin, reverse complications such as cardio-vascular disease, lose weight without being hungry, and reduce or eliminate painful neuropathy.  This program includes nightly lectures, weigh-ins, blood pressure checks, food tasting, an exercise plan, workbook, and Hgb A1c testing.
  • Plant-based Cooking Class – Health Topic, food demonstrations, food samples and recipes
  • Natural Soap-making Class – Learn how to avoid harmful chemicals such as aluminum uses in antiperspirants, and sodium lauryl sulfate and others used in laundry detergent and soap.

* The 8 Laws of Health - “Pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of

water, trust in divine power—these are the true remedies” (Ellen G. White, Ministry of Healing, (Nampa:

Pacific Press, 1905), page 127)
